Youth Scholarship


A number of individual and church group scholarships have been reserved for high school and full-time college students.

Applicants must submit a scholarship application form, an unedited audio tape, and a personal statement before the postmark deadline (see details below). Applicant must attend all the camp activities to be eligible.

Postmark deadline for scholarship program: 15 May 2008. Scholarship recipients will be notified by late June, and will be awarded during the closing ceremony at the camp.

Audition Requirements

Scholarship applicants must submit a audition package that includes the following materials:

2. Audition Tape or mp3 file

An unedited audio cassette, CD or mp3 file, approximately 10 minutes in length. Please don't submit video. Care should be given to the recording environment and taping facilities. Recordings of recitals or concerts are acceptable; however, the quality of the recording should be taken into consideration by the applicant before submission.

PIANO: One movement or work from the Baroque era, Classical sonata, or the Romantic era.

VOICE: One Italian art song or an oratorio aria, and one sacred song in English. Unless written for unaccompanied voice, the selections should be accompanied.

INSTRUMENTAL: Two selections from the standard repertoire of one's instrument. One should be of moderate or fast tempo, demonstrating technical proficiency and the second should be slower, demonstrating musical sensitivity. Unless written as a concert piece for unaccompanied instrument, such as a Bach suite, the selections should be accompanied.

3. Personal Statement

Typed-written, doubled-spaced statement of 100 words or fewer describing your worship and music experience in your local church, and explaining why you wish to attend the CCCMIW Worship and Music Camp.

 

 

Youth Camp Eligibility

CCCMIW is open to young Christians from grade 7th through college who desire to acquire training in serving the Lord through music in worship. The minimum age for participants is 12 as of July 1, 2008.
